Categories Widget



The Categories Widget can be used to create a grid or slider of product categories that can be added to any page of your WordPress website.  This is commonly used on the homepage to create sections of featured categories.

To get started, open the Elementor editor for the page where you want to use the categories widget.  In the list of widgets in the left column, scroll down to the Prodigy Commerce section and drag the Categories widget into the appropriate section.

Content Tab - Categories Selection

In the content tab of the widget settings, the Categories Selection section allows you to select the specific product categories that will be displayed in the widget.  You can select categories by Category Name or Parent Category.

Content Tab - Content

In the content tab of the widget settings, the Content section provides additional settings for how the widget will be displayed.  In this section, you can control the sorting, limit, display type (slider or grid), and columns.  You can also set the visibility of the product count.

Style Tab - General

In the Style tab, the General section provides the following controls.

In the Style tab, the Box section includes the following controls that affect the outer container of each category card.

Style Tab - Slider

In the Style tab, the Slider section contains the following controls. This section is only available if the widget is set to Slider mode in the content section.

In the Style tab, the Overlay section contains the following controls.

In the Style tab, the Image section contains the following controls that affect the category image.

Style Tab - Product Count

In the Style tab, the Product Count section contains the following controls. This section is only available if the product count visibility is set to Show in the content section.

Style Tab - Pagination

In the Style tab, the Pagination section includes the following controls. This section is only available if the display is set to Grid mode in the content section.
