Product Personalization Selection

The Product Personalization section allows you to attach an existing personalization setup to a product.

Product personalizations are created under Settings → Product Personalization. (Read the Product Personalization Settings article to learn more about configuring product personalizations). The product editor is where you choose which personalization should apply to a specific product.

Once assigned, the personalization fields will appear for customers when they view the product on the storefront.

 

Enabling Product Personalization

From the product editor page, locate the Product Personalization section.

Turn on the Enable product personalization tool switch.

This allows the product to be personalized by the customer during checkout.

Once the switch is enabled, the Add Personalization button will appear.

 

Adding a Personalization

Click Add Personalization to open the personalization modal where you can select from any of your configured personalizations.

Then click Add Personalization.

Each product can have one personalization assigned to it. However, a personalization can include multiple fields, such as names, numbers, messages, or other custom text inputs.

Note: The customer-facing fields, required field settings, and price modifier are configured under Settings → Product Personalization.

 

Managing Personalization Settings

If you need to create or edit a personalization setup, click Manage Personalization from the Add Product Personalization modal.

This will take you to the Product Personalization settings page, where you can manage the available personalization options. To learn more about how to configure these Product Personalizations, check out the Product Personalization Settings article.

 

Viewing an Assigned Personalization

After a personalization is added, it will appear in a table within the Product Personalization section.

The table displays:

  • Personalization Name
  • Price Modifier Type and Amount
  • Last Edited

 

Click the personalization name to open the personalization settings page and edit that personalization.

 

Removing a Personalization

To remove a personalization from the product, click the three-dot menu on the right side of the personalization row.

Then select Remove.

Removing a personalization from the product does not delete the personalization setup from the store. It only removes it from the current product.
